Ore Characterization
Our comprehensive laboratory services provide accurate and reliable test work to support mining and processing operations. These include:
- Point load strength Test Work: Assessing ore hardness. As this test is rather cheap, very large sample quantities can be tested to delineate the ore domains across the deposit. The big data is then used for block modelling to show the heat map of ore strength. Ore strength is used as a key parameter in blast fragmentation modelling. Point Load Index can be related to Drop Weight test parameters, which are used in the modelling of comminution processes.
- Comminution Test Work: Assessing ore hardness, grindability, and breakage behaviour (impact and compressed bed) to optimize milling and grinding processes.
- Metallurgical Test Work: Evaluating the recovery of valuable minerals using flotation, leaching, and other processing techniques.
- Mineralogical Studies: Conducting advanced mineralogical analysis using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and optical microscopy to understand mineral compositions and associations.
- Chemical Analysis: Delivering precise elemental and compositional analysis using techniques such as ICP-MS, XRF, and fire assay to determine ore quality and composition.
