Sedat Esen

Principal Consultant – Drill-to-Mill & Blasting; Managing Director

Sedat has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry and has worked in a range of open pit & underground metalliferous, quarry and coal mines throughout Australia and overseas. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy with vast knowledge of Drill&Blast and Drill-to-Mill plant optimization. Sedat has a Doctorate in Mining Engineering from JKMRC (University of Queensland, Australia) in 2004.

Before establishing his own consulting company in 2017, Sedat worked for Orica Mining Services (Australia) as a Specialist/Principal Technical Services Engineer. He was involved in numerous Drill&Blast projects. Before that, he worked at Metso Minerals Process Technology & Innovation (Australia) at different consulting positions (Mining Manager and Process Technology Engineer). At Metso, he participated into the greenfield and Mine to Mill Process Integration and Optimization projects globally.

He also worked in industry-funded R&D centers globally, namely Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre (JKMRC) in Australia and Swedish Blasting Research Centre in Sweden. He has published over 50 technical papers in various international conferences and journals. He is recognised as one of the world’s leading Drill&Blast and Drill-to-Mill plant optimization experts.

Hakan Benzer

Principal Consultant – Mineral Processing & Metallurgy

Dr Hakan Benzer is a highly experienced comminution and Drill-to-Mill consultant providing a range of services to the mineral processing operations. Hakan has extensive experience in the design and optimisation of mineral processing circuits as well as eco-efficient comminution technologies (dry/wet), ore characterization, geometallurgy and Drill-to-Mill plant optimization. Dr Benzer has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. Hakan has a Doctorate in Mining Engineering from Hacettepe University in 2000. He completed his post-grad studies at JKMRC (University of Queensland, Australia).

He has published two book chapters on comminution. Over 100 papers were presented at conferences and journals. He is the founding member of the GCC (Global Comminution Collaborative). He has delivered numerous technology transfer workshops to the industry. He is recognised as one of the world’s leading mineral processing experts.
